A charming early 20th-century treen crown-shaped tape measure and pin cushion, dating from circa 1900–1930. Turned from dark-stained wood with pierced crown details, it features an original fabric pin cushion — now darkened with age but showing hints of its original blue colour around the edges. The piece includes its original fabric tape measure, which winds through two polished horn-style pulls and finishes with a celluloid ring. While the turning has a slightly more rustic finish than earlier Victorian examples, it remains an attractive and highly collectible piece of sewing treen, perfect for display or to complete a period sewing collection.
In good antique condition with age-related wear. The wooden crown has a slightly rougher finish typical of later examples. The original pin cushion has significantly faded from blue to a darker tone, with traces of the original colour visible at the edges. The fabric tape measure is intact but shows noticeable fading and blurring to the printed numbering. Horn-style pulls are sound and complete.
